The Church seen through God's eyes

Ephesians 2:19-22; "That's plain enough, isn't it? You're no longer wandering exiles. This kingdom of faith is now your home country. You're no longer strangers or outsiders. You belong here, with as much right to the name Christian as anyone. God is building a home. He's using us all—irrespective of how we got here—in what he is building. He used the apostles and prophets for the foundation. Now he's using you, fitting you in brick by brick, stone by stone, with Christ Jesus as the cornerstone that holds all the parts together. We see it taking shape day after day—a holy temple built by God, all of us built into it, a temple in which God is quite at home." (Message)

The Church as descibed in the Word is not a building, or sprinklers, or ceiling tiles, or bathrooms, or painted walls, or even the stage; it is the people, Christian people. If we ever have to have "church" in a WWII bunker than so be it. If "church" is in a muddy empty lot than so be it. If "church" is in a cramped old dance studio too small for 150 people than so be it. Because the Church is built in the heart of Christ follows, Christ believers, and Christ imitators. WE are the Church where ever we are. This weekend let's be the Church!! It's not an option it's a command from the Word.
Blessings,
Scott

  1. Awesome reminder, Scott. Thanks for keeping the faith and guiding the rest of us to do the same. It's all about Him and He's everywhere.

    Rock on...
